 Fall/Winter 2008 Schedule

 September

9/2-9/5         PLCs: This 3.5 day course provides participants with an introduction and basic working knowledge of PLCs.  This course is designed not for those personnel directly responsible for maintaining PLCs, but those workers whose equipment is controlled by them and who must troubleshoot that equipment. $1695

9/24-9/26      SAP Workshop: This 2.5 day course designed for end-users in the maintenance reliability field. It will give the participant working knowledge of entering work orders, maintenance requests, planning and scheduling, and tracking maintenance costs.  $1395

October

10/1-10/3     Heat Rate - Optimizing Your Power Plant: This 2.5 day class covers the fundamentals of heat rate and the impact of changing heat rate on operating cost.  This will include an overview of heat rate concepts, controllable and non-controllable losses, and the effects of component performance on operating cost.  $1395

 10/6-10/10   Basic Electrical: This 5 day course begins with a review of electrical safety topics followed by what substation equipment is and the description of 480V switchgear and 4.16 kV equipment.  $1795

10/13-10/17   Advanced Electrical: This 5 day course begins with a review of electrical safety topics followed by explanations of grounding principles, applications, and test equipment. $1795

10/15-10/17  Total Process Reliability - Improving Uptime: This 2.5 day course explains in detail a process to reduce maintenance cost and increase uptime by engaging operations in asset management. $1395

 10/20-10/24  Basic I&C: This 5 day course begins with a review of process measurement fundamentals followed by a review of the measurement means: pressure, temperature, flow, and level. $1795

 10/21-10/24  Combined Cycle Power Plant Operations: This 3.5 day course includes system descriptions and flow paths of a combined cycle plant, the sequence of major events during a plant start-up and shut-down and various industry trends in the combined cycle power plant.  $1695

 10/27-10/31  Advanced I&C: This 5 day course begins with a review of process measurement fundamentals followed by a review of the process control systems, and finishes with the fundamentals of calibration and PLC. $1795

 November

11/5-11/7    Leading the Maintenance Operation in the 21st Century:  This 2.5 day class informs participants what the 21st century maintenance leader needs to know to be effective. $1395

 December

 Substitution or Cancellation

Cancellations made 10 business days prior to seminar date will receive a full refund.  Substitutions can be made at any time.  Cancellations made less than 10 business days will be issued a credit memo good for two years.  Registered attendees who fail to show up or have not given proper notice of cancellation will not receive refund or credit.
