Light It Up Blue

Dearest Supporters,

We are Darryl’s Cheerleaders, a team of family and friends coming together for one special cause – Autism Awareness. Darryl is the main reason we walk, but we are in the cause for every individual and family affected by autism. Essentially, we are one big family united in solving the puzzle.

We fundraise and ask for sponsorships to help Autism Speaks establish and pay for some wonderful programs in our local communities. These programs and services include, but are not limited to, personalized therapies for underprivileged families, partnerships with researchers that are breaking ground in isolating “the autism gene,” and providing teachers with a more hands-on and focused approach with their special-needs students. This year our team is trying to raise enough money to surpass our past achievements.

In addition, this year we are again setting our sights on The Team Village. We had such a great time relaxing in our private tent last year that we are extremely confident that we can achieve all of our goals again this year. With the support of our friends, families, and the community, anything is possible!

We appreciate all large and small donations. Our sponsors with a donation of $500 or more, as noted in our “All-Star Donation Levels,” will be proudly displayed under our personal Team Village tent during walk day.

Also, our team is always looking for fresh new members to fill in the empty gaps. There is power in numbers, and we need all the help we can get. Any registered walkers who raise a minimum of $150 in their own names by the walk date of April 26th will earn a free Autism Speaks walk shirt to be picked up on walk day. Autism is no small entity, so please help us spread the word through our team website, aid with funding donations, and increase awareness for the cause; it’s one that is very near and dear to our hearts.

Thank you for your consideration of support to our walk team. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us and we would be happy to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Marielis “Shani” Acosta
